The heaviest producing okra on record, heavy hitter produces up to 250 pods per
Plant and up to 44 pods per day!!
Talk about survival seeds! Keep some seeds for the following season and keep them coming for generations!
One of the challenges with most types of okra, is trying to make sure the pods don't stay on the plant too long and get tough. This is not a worry with this variety as it is a selectively bred Clemson spineless! These can be allowed to grow very large without the worry of excessive chewiness like other varieties. Pods should still be tested to ensure that they can be easily broken off with a fingernail to ensure good tenderness.
Okra loves heat, plant in spring and summer when temps are between 70-90 degrees. Harvest in only 60 days and subsequent harvests after.
Soak seeds for 24 hours before planting.
While Okra is generally viewed as an annual, it can actually live for several years in zones 12 and 13 and is considered a perennial only in these zones. It is easy enough to collect seeds and replant every year though, especially considering okra's fast growth rate.
This is for 20 Non-GMO seeds. These have a high germination rate. Plants get very large(6 feet tall!) and are high yielding. You will want to designate some space for these or plant some and refrigerate the rest in an airtight container.
I combine shipping on all seed orders, you pay one flat fee for as many seeds as you would like for no additional shipping. Orders over $35 for any combination of items in my shop ship for free!
All of my seeds are tested and guaranteed. Most of my seeds are fresh off of my own plants.
