A delicious exotic and tropical fruit, Hawaiian papayas are smaller than standard papayas, a perfect one serving portion with numerous fruits.

The fruit is pear shaped and has bright orange flesh.

Papaya can be grown as a very attractive house plant when given adequate light.

It will grow very large in the ground (8-10 feet) and is originally native to Florida, but has also been naturalized to Hawaii, where this type was selected for its smaller fruits and ease of growing in containers, if so desired.
