Capsicum Annuum
10 seeds, organic
A beautiful pepper and plant! The leaves are variegated with a tri-color combination of white, purple and green. Because of their lighter foliage, they can handle full or part sun.
The peppers are purple and have a striping quality as they turn red. The fruit is 1 inch long and 1/2 inch wide. 5,000 Scoville units. These are heavy producers and produce as long as the weather is warm. These will produce year round in tropical climates.
Most people don’t know that the trick to healthy peppers that you see in the store is calcium! Peppers require calcium to reach their maximum potential and to help them combat pests naturally.
Use your spent eggshells, bone meal or lime to add calcium to the soil in addition to vegetable fertilizer. I use organic chicken manure based fertilizer.
Do not plant peppers where you just previously planted tomatoes, eggplant or potatoes as this can make them more susceptible to disease.
This is for 10 Certified Organic seeds.
Zones 4-8: Plant when all danger of frost has passed when daytime temps reach 70 degrees or start indoors with good strong lighting and transfer outdoors when temps have reached 70 degrees.
Zones 9+: Plant any time of year.
