Mugwort, also known as Black Sage and Dream Weed(see below) is an ancient Asian medicinal plant

Fresh Leaves are chewed for their stimulant properties. It can also be used to kill pinworms.

Uses for Mugwort:
- Insect repellent
- “Mug” “Wort” means useful in a beverage and was used to make beer.
- Sore feet- soldiers lined the soles of their shoes with mugwort to prevent sore feet from long travels
- Dried mugwort repels moths and can be stitched in a pillow as an alternative to toxic and smelly moth balls.

Mugwort should never be used by pregnant women.

Mugwort makes for a fantastic smudge bundle with its lovely sweet aroma and is used to stimulate pleasant dreams.

This is for 100 seeds. ***Mugwort can be invasive, you only need a few seeds for a permanent stock and I recommend planting in pots to keep it under control, as they also inhibit the growth of other plants, all the more reason to isolate it in a pot. If you are looking for a constant supply of smudge material, this grows and regenerates very quickly.

Seeds are best down in fall for a spring emergence or cold stratified in your refrigerator for 2-4 weeks.
