Organic Mountain Tobacco, Herbal Medicinal
20 seeds
Not only a beautiful daisy like flower but a widely used plant for sports related or other injuries. It also has a pleasant, sweet fragrance. Arnica is actually a member of the sunflower family!
These take some patience as the seeds can take a month or more to sprout. Temperatures should be between 55 and 68 degrees for best germination. Seeds can be sowed in early spring or late fall. Whenever these temperatures can be achieved or seeds can be started indoors. Arnica can survive light frost. It is a perennial so if started in late fall, you can get a jump start where it will appear the following spring if winters are harsh. In milder climates it will grow through fall and winter. Arnica prefers cool temperatures. It can survive warm summers but will get a little scraggly looking and will improve once temperatures drop. It spreads by underground rhizomes and will go dormant in cold climates but return in spring. This is a permanent plant that only needs to be planted once.
