Lavandula Stoechas

20 seeds

My all time favorite scent! I work with a lot of lavender for my smudges and each one has it’s own benefits. French lavender is a tasty addition to baked goods and has a beautiful "tuft" of purple at the top of the blooms.

Lavender is known for its calming abilities and is also 100% edible. It can be brewed into tea or used in baked goods. The first time I had a lavender cupcake, I was overwhelmed by the combination of scent and taste and was hooked for good.

Lavender is also excellent for drying for a large variety of craft projects, as decoration in a bunch or pressed for its delightful oil.

Lavender detests humid and wet conditions. It grows best in very well draining soils. Adding perlite to the pot or the ground when planting is very beneficial and can make all the difference in your success of growing this magnificent herb.

IMPORTANT NOTE FOR MY FELLOW HUMID AND HOT CLIMATE PEOPLE! I HAVE HAD MORE SUCCESS WITH FRENCH LAVENDER THAN ANY OTHER TYPE, INCLUDING PHENOMENAL, WHICH IS SUPPOSEDLY BETTER FOR HUMID CLIMATES. KEEP IT OUT OF THE SUMMER RAINS AND IT WILL FLOURISH! 🍃💜

Germination is greatly increased by folding the seeds into a moist paper towel and then a ziploc bag and placing in your refrigerator for one month, then plant when temperatures are around 70 degrees, Seeds will sprout in as little as 2 weeks.

This is for 20 seeds.

Perennial that returns every spring in growing zones 8-11. Evergreen in zones 9+. I have had better luck with these versus standard lavender, in a humid climate as long as they are not over-watered and planted in well draining soil.

Grows 1-3 feet tall and 2-4 feet wide
