Another whopper of a sunflower, this thing is like a sunflower tree.

It produces very large leaves, which cover the stalks, making it more visually appealing and giving it a wider shape that accentuates its’ size.

Reaches a crazy 12-14 feet tall with 16-18 inch heads.

Fully mature in 90 days.

Plant when temperatures are at least 70 degrees. Sunflowers have a very high germination rate but are very susceptible to being eaten by critters with powerful noses. I like to start them in starter pots to protect them until they sprout and have found that I have a nearly 100% germination rate this way. If you've ever had trouble with sunflowers, I guarantee you this is why!

Plant in spring or summer in cooler climates and any time of year in zones 9+. These can handle some heat but appreciate being well irrigated.

Sunflowers are a great way to attract bees to your garden as they find them irresistible and will pollinate everything else while visiting, yielding you more flowers and vegetables throughout your garden.
