An extremely fast growing plant with a very long flowering period. Lavatera is related to both hibiscus and hollyhock, which why you may notice their blooms look almost like a cross between the two.

Get a head start on these by planting 6-8 weeks before your late expected frost, they can handle cool (just not freezing) weather and will bloom all the way until fall.
