Not for sale in WA State.

Fresh seeds that have already been stratified, so all you have to do it is plant!

Another fantastic flower dried or fresh. I use these in my smudge bundles because they maintain their color and shape and have sturdy stems.

Another amazing attribute of this flower is that it starts out anywhere from a white to a pale pink, then medium pink, then light purple and finally to a deep purple, so you can pick the flower when it is the desired shade for drying and it will maintain that color. It’s 4-5 plants in one!

Planting these in bunches will give you all colors at once with varying shades as the flowers age. Just beautiful.

This plant is actually in the carrot family but is prized for its flowers which are followed by seeds that tend to come up on their own all around the original plants.

This is where conventional carrots got their start! While the root is edible, by the time the flowers appear it’s not very palatable. While the plant is not toxic, it looks very similar to poison hemlock which has white flowers that remain white.

Some people are sensitive to the sap and leaves of this plant, best to handle with gloves unless you are aware that you don’t have sensitivities. I handle these a lot and have never had any problems. Best to enjoy this plant for its flowers and stick to the conventional carrots for consumption.

One single plant can produce anywhere from 7-15 flower stalks at one time.

These grow 4-5 feet tall.

Biennial and a prolific re-seeder that can be grown in any zone depending on the time of year. Ideal germination temperatures should be between 65 and 80 degrees. Planting to flower is less than 2 months so these can be grown as an early or late season flower in cooler weather.

Germination is greatly increased by storing the seeds in an airtight container in your refrigerator for 1-2 weeks. I keep my seeds in cold storage so this has already been done.
