You may have wondered why you don’t see mulberries for sale in the grocery store, it’s because mulberries have a very high sugar and water content and are very bruise-able, making them not suitable for commercial transport. I think this makes them all the more special, the fact that you can only get them if you grow a tree or know someone with one.

The trees produce an insane amount of fruit and are loaded with antioxidants. They will even turn your fingers purple!

Seeds can be planted in fall for a spring emergence or cold stratified in your refrigerator for 90 days.
