Aquilegia Caerulea

One of the few flowering plants that prefers part sun to full shade, Columbine is a delicate flower that produces multiple flowers in various colors.

I always try to plant natives, this one reminds me of a sunset with graduating colors of red to orange to yellow.

These require either late fall sowing/early winter (45 degrees or less) for spring emergence or cold-moist stratification which involves simply placing them in a moist paper towel in a sealed ziploc bag and stored in your refrigerator for one month before planting. You can also plant them in small peat pots so all you have to do is remove them and place them in a sunny window or a partly sunny spot outdoors.

These are perennials and will return every spring and also self seed very easily so you only need plant them once!

Grows 2 feet tall and wide with multiple blooms on each plant with a stunning red display.

Growing zones 2-9

This is for 50 seeds
