Crape Myrtle puts on a fantastic display in summer, with attractive whitish bark in the winter that makes it attractive even when in dormancy. Leaves return in spring and an abundance of pink blossoms appear in summer, lasting until fall. Small trees, perfect for an area where you want a tree or trees with color, but not massive ones.

Reaches heights of 12-15 feet tall and 8-10 feet wide. These are beautiful planted as a stand alone focal point or in succession. These are often used in beautification projects for landscaping in medians and parks all over Florida. Here, we seem to recognize it as a tropical plant but they are actually very cold hardy!

Hardy to USDA Zones 6-10. A brief cold period seems to boost germination but is not necessary.
