Soapwort is an excellent ground cover choice for dry or desert climates, such as Arizona, New Mexico and California. It will do well in other areas as well, but is prized for its ability to withstand long periods of drought.

It provides color and greenery in an otherwise sparse landscape.

The flowers are a lovely pinkish purple and the blooms are similar looking to phlox.

Grows 6-8 inches tall.
