Absinthe has a long history of medicinal use. The plant is very beautiful with silvery green, fern-like foliage and fuzzy yellow flowers. The leaves have a very pleasant and strong sage like scent. The active component in absinthe is thujone.

This is the plant that makes up the primary ingredient in the absinthe alcoholic beverage and is also used for making bitters. As a former bartender, I can tell you that bitters is something you will always find behind the bar. It’s used in many cocktails and as a hangover treatment by settling an upset stomach (it works-I’ve tried it!)

This plant is also used as a smudge! It has a similar smell as burning sage, has been used for ritual purposes for centuries and is said to increase or enable psychic abilities.

This is for 100 organic, non GMO seeds.

Perennial. Wormwood likes dry conditions, do not overwater. Highly drought tolerant. Plant in spring or summer.

Plants grow 2-3 feet tall. Perennial Zones 4-8. Some sources say up to zone 9. These are not a fan of heat or humidity. Growing temperatures should ideally be between 68 and 70 degrees. The seeds can be started indoors if it is too hot or too cold outside. Seeds can take a while to sprout, from 2-4 weeks.
