These are just freshly dried, highly aromatic and still have their lovely green hue with purplish-beige base tips. 


My sweetgrass braids are grown and harvested organically by me (not wild gathered) while supplies last. When my supply is depleted I purchase from an organic farm owned by a personal friend whom also grows,(organically) harvests and braids these herself. 


Sweetgrass is a wonderfully aromatic grass used to make braids for smudging and basket making.


This grass has been and continues to be a staple in Native American culture for centuries. The grass is burned for prayer and purification. It symbolizes peace, healing and spirituality. The aroma produced by the smoke is literally “sweet” smelling with vanilla notes. Rather than “burning,” it smolders which makes it perfect even for indoor use. The braids can also be kept as decoration. Sage is used to clear negative energy, while sweetgrass is used to invite positive energy.
