The Mushroom Basket tomato is a rare, heirloom variety of tomato that originated in Russia and was introduced to the United States in the late 2000s. The tomato is known for its large, uniquely shaped, ribbed, and pleated fruits that are bright pink with cream-colored speckles. The tomatoes weigh between 8–16 ounces and have a mild, sweet flavor with firm flesh and little gel. The Mushroom Basket tomato is also known as Gribnoe Lukoshko in Russian.
