Your favorite summer flower (or any time of year, really) in deep dark purple-nearly black.

Vinca aka Periwinkles are an ideal choice for hot climates although they perform well in cooler climates as well. As a born and raised Floridian, this is what we plant every summer because it i can take the heat and drought (or humidity) and comes in so many beautiful colors. These are great for Florida and desert climates and everywhere else as well!

Madagascar Periwinkles are tender perennials from zones 9-13, but grow so quickly that they are often grown as annuals in zones 4-8, which is why they are listed under both annuals and perennials in our search options. It also re-seeds really easily and I have found it to be true to seed.
