10 seeds

Dicentra scandens, while related to Dicentra Spectabilis is a native of Asia and is a climbing vine, which is a different growth habit than Spectabilis or Eximia (wild bleeding heart.)

The blooms look very similar to Eximia blooms but are a lovely golden yellow

Can be planted in winter for a spring emergence or cold stratified in your refrigerator.

Seeds do require a cold period, but need a warm period first. Seeds should be sown at 65-75 degrees for 2-4 weeks, followed by a cold period (between 25 and 39 degrees - freezer would be ideal) for 4-6 weeks, then they should be slowly warmed up, as would happen in nature at 41-55 degrees 2-4 weeks (fridge or cold frame ideal.) It is certainly worth the wait.

These are perennials that develop underground rhizomes that return every spring. It grows a little larger with each growing season, reaching heights of 2-3 feet after 5 years.

This is for 10 Seeds.

USDA Zones 5-9 Perennial.
