An orange twist on the garden classic! Black-Eyed-Susans are in the sunflower family. A North American native, and the state flower of Maryland, this flower is orange with green and black contrasting centers and looks like a cross between a daisy and a sunflower.

These have long been used as a medicinal herb by Native Americans. Not all parts of the plant are edible though.

Some Black Eyed Susan varieties are annuals, this one is a biennial, meaning is will come back for two consecutive years. They also easily self-seed, which can cause the plant to come back for many years each spring.

Grows to 1-2 feel tall. Looks amazing plan ted in bunches for a wildflower meadow feel.

Hardy to zones 3-9. Short Lived Perennial.

Plant in spring or summer in cooler climates.

Fall or winter in particularly warm climates.
