Touted to be the most beautiful corn ever grown, Glass Gem is a rainbow of shiny colors. Primarily used for flour or popcorn but is also edible as boiled or roasted it’s just not as sweet as the standard yellow or white corn. The colors make for very pretty corn flour. It’s also beautiful as fall decoration.

IMPORTANT: Ever plant corn and end up with ears with like 10 kernels on them? Here is why: Corn needs to be planted in a square pattern with a minimum of 4 rows. Bees pollinate plants in a square pattern. If you have one long row of corn, you will end up with a poor harvest with ears with few kernels. A square pattern is a much more natural growing pattern for bees and will allow for nice full ears.
