A magenta-red version with petals that tend to stay more horizontal, rather than the traditional coneflower shape, where petals tend to point downward. 
 
Perennial that returns every spring and stays until late fall! 
Sow in spring in cooler climates, spring fall or winter in zones 9. Seeds ideally need to be 65-75 degrees to germinate. The seeds can benefit from a period of cold to increase germination.
