Unlike traditional single-petaled cosmos, Cupcake varieties produce fully double, dome-shaped blooms so densely packed with ruffled petals they genuinely resemble a frosted cupcake fresh from the bakery. This dreamy blush and white mix brings a soft, romantic palette to any garden space.
Native to the highlands of Mexico, cosmos have graced gardens for centuries, but the Cupcake series takes this beloved cottage garden staple to an entirely new level of charm. Each stem produces multiple blooms atop delicate, feathery foliage that sways gracefully in the breeze, making them as beautiful in motion as they are in a vase.

Growing information:
Direct sow seeds on the surface of moist well-draining soil after last frost.
Cosmos seeds need light to germinate and should not be buried. Germination occurs in 7-21 days at 65-75°F.
Cosmos actually prefer poor to average soil, rich soil encourages foliage over flowers.
Full sun, minimum 6 hours daily.
Days to bloom: approximately 60-90 days from seed.
Grown as annual in all zones 1-13. May overwinter in frost-free zones 9-13.
In the vase:
Cupcake Cosmos are exceptional cut flowers. Harvest when blooms are just opening for longest vase life. Their airy stems and romantic double blooms pair beautifully with almost any other cut flower.
