A gothic garden treasure! Most of you are probably familiar with Holy Ghost, or Angelica, this is a whole new plant on the scene with flat out black leaves, offset by purple-pink blooms. Truly stunning.
Angelica has long been used as a medicinal plant.
Grows 3-4 feet tall and 2 feet wide
Biennial zones 4-9 - lives for two seasons and then produces seeds. As with many biennials, plants easily return from seed.
Seeds can be sown in fall for a sowing emergence or cold-moist stratified (I provide instructions on how to do this) in your refrigerator for 90 days. However, these seeds have been cold-dry stratified and MIGHT come up without cold stratification. If you want to try to sow immediately, please only try a couple of seeds.
