Morinda citrifolia is a small evergreen tree native to Southeast Asia and Australasia, now naturalized throughout tropical regions worldwide. It produces large, glossy, deeply veined leaves and bears clusters of small white tubular flowers that give way to the plant's distinctive knobbed, pale-yellow fruit. Noni is grown primarily for its fruit, which is edible though pungent, and for the broad shade and ornamental presence a mature tree brings to tropical and subtropical gardens.
