Orange Bicolor Geranium
Pelargonium × hortorum
Zonal geraniums (Pelargonium × hortorum) are tender perennials of South African origin, widely grown as annuals in temperate gardens for their bold, long-season color. This orange bicolor selection produces rounded flower heads in warm orange tones offset by a contrasting second color, typically a deeper blush or eye at the petal base, atop sturdy upright stems with the characteristic zoned foliage. Well suited to containers, window boxes, or formal bedding, it performs reliably through summer heat and attracts hummingbirds and butterflies. The foliage carries the faint peppery scent typical of the genus.
