The lavender version of tropical sage. Hummingbirds love them for their trumpet shape and they also attract pollinating moths at night.
Seeds are easy to collect and replant to place them all over your garden.
Annual. As plants die, they are quickly replaced by new plants as the seeds sprout without even being planted, which keeps the area filled with plants year round in warmer climates. Hardy from USDA Zones 8A- 11. Does not tolerate temperatures below 20 Degrees F. Can be grown as a container plant in colder climates otherwise they normally self-seed and come back the following spring. You can collect seeds for additional insurance for planting the following spring. They will give you plenty!
Grows 2-6 feet high and .5 to 2 feet wide. Here in our Florida nursery they get about 3 feet tall and a foot wide. Perfect size.
