Virginia Bluebells are stunning flowers that start out pink with pink buds that turn into pink flowers that slowly turn blue, giving you two colors on the same plant. Just breathtaking. These are fast growing and form large colonies quickly.
Plants prefer part sun to shade
Seeds can be planted in fall for a spring emergence or cold stratified in your refrigerator for 60 days. I provide instructions on how to do this, it’s very easy.
Growing zones 3-8. Plants will bloom for two months and go dormant in summer depending on your climate. They will return every spring with more and more plants. These are not recommended for climates warmer than 8 unless you are in a very mild climate such as parts of the Pacific Northwest that don't get excessive heat.
These are great for woodland areas and appreciate moist soils.
